Rich Sikora is the senior director of Strategy within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) with the charter to champion Market Intelligence by delivering predictive and actionable insights on future markets, competitive intelligence and external benchmarking.
Sikora served as the senior director of Strategy for Global Services & Support (GS&S) where he was responsible for understanding and anticipating future customer requirements and developing services 3x growth strategies during a time of extraordinary transformation in the marketplace.
Sikora served as the senior director of Strategy & Business Capture for BDS, where he led independent competitive assessments, developed campaign and proposal strategies, and provided functional oversight of business development / sales activities.
Sikora also has served as the director of Strategic Planning for BDS, developing long-range business plans, geo-political environment assessments, strategic budgeting, scenario planning, market analysis, company competitive assessments, business cases and market based affordability strategies.
Sikora was formerly senior manager of Strategic Development for GS&S. He also has held program manager positions for the Value-Driven Business Design process in Phantom Works and the Chairman’s Innovation Initiative in Boeing Ventures.
During his 21-year Boeing career, Sikora has gained versatile experience in multiple assignments including aircraft manufacturing, tooling, customer engineering, commercial aircraft and services sales, technology and innovation management, strategic development, mergers and acquisitions, business capture and development.
Additionally, Sikora brings nine years of entrepreneurial experience from diverse leadership roles he held at multiple telecommunications companies including three start-ups. He has managed product and service go-to-market teams, and established successful product marketing / sales organizations. Sikora also implemented new business ventures with international partners and participated in M&A activities.
Sikora holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Iowa and a master’s of business administration from Pepperdine University. He currently serves as a Director at Boeing Defence UK Limited and a Director at World Affairs Council of St. Louis.
