As part of Boston-wide HUBWeek, join the Edward R. Murrow Center for a Digital World and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts for an incisive and practical panel discussion to address what can be done today in news and social media to combat the corrosive effects of glib and highly partisan policy debates that are affecting our country’s future. Panelists will include:
  • Michael W. Klein, William L. Clayton Professor of International Economic Affairs at The Fletcher School at Tufts University; former Chief Economist in the Office of International Affairs of the United States Department of the Treasury
  • Tara Watson, Professor of Economics at Williams College; former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomic Analysis at the United States Department of the Treasury
  • Jason Margolis, Reporter/Correspondent for PRI’s The World
  • David Lazer, Professor of Political Science and Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University; Co-Director of the NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks.
  • Moderated by Richard Chacón, Executive Director of News Content at WBUR
