  1. Refugees and Migrants: Boston's Levantine Communities in Historical Perspective

    10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Long before the current Syrian refugee crisis, Boston has been the home of communities originating from the Eastern Mediterranean. The collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the rise of the nation-state led to the displacement of many. Armenians, Greeks, Syrians, Lebanese, Turks, Palestinians, and Jews from the region have come to Boston at various times and are an integral part of the city’s history and development. This workshop seeks to engage experts and historians with members of these communities by looking at their common history.

  2. Fletcher LEADS: Work/Life Balance Workshop

    10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

In this session, we’ll dive into the ever-popular topic of work/life balance. Using an interactive approach, we’ll assess and define what this concept means to you personally and discuss challenges and best practices in this space. We’ll also brainstorm ideas for how to prioritize self-care and cover some examples of corporate wellness trends to understand how organizations are contributing to employee health. You'll leave with an awareness of how to continue to check in with your level of balance and concrete tools to address it when needed.
