The Initiative on Mass Atrocities and Genocide (IMAGe) will host a panel on the public health consequences of and accompanying responses to mass violence. The event will take place at Tufts University Medical School in Boston, and transportation will be provided to and from the Medford campus.
This panel will be comprised of three faculty members from across schools and disciplines at Tufts, including:
- Patrick Webb, Professor of Nutrition at Tufts Friedman School and former Chief of Nutrition at the World Food Program;
- Paul Summergrad, Psychiatrist in Chief of Tufts Medical Center, Professor and Chair of Psychiatry at Tufts School of Medicine, and President of the American Psychiatric Association; and
- Daniele Lantagne, Assistant Professor at Tufts School of Engineering, who has worked in more than 50 countries on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects in development and emergency contexts.
