Shinsuke Tanaka is Assistant Professor of Economics at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. His research interests are in the fields of development economics with a focus on environment and public health. Broadly, he is interested in the interactions between environment and human and economic activities, and how it affects economic development in low income countries. His current work investigates the effect of environmental regulations in China on air pollution and infant mortality. He has a PhD in Economics from Boston University, a MA in international and development economics from Yale University, and a BA in liberal arts from Soka University of America.
