Yingqi Liu is a Professor at the Business School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University. She is a visiting scholar at Fletcher's Center for International Environment and Resource Policy from September 2013 through February 2014.
Professor Liu focuses on new energy-technology innovation and policy. Her research interests include the patterns and processes of energy-technology innovation, and especially the role of government policy in the development and deployment of advanced energy technologies in China’s new energy vehicle industry and wind power industry.
She has worked at the Stockholm School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School as a visiting scholar in 2009 and 2010. She is the author of The Advantage of Industrial Cultivation in Ecologically Vulnerable Areas in Western China (2010), Investigations on Chinese Engineering Contract Companies--Choices for Oversea Markets and Strategies for Global Competition (2006). She has published numerous academic papers and policy reports on wind power, solar power, and new energy vehicle industry.
