Thanks to a donation from BNGF Climate Results Fund, CIERP is able to provide financial support to students undertaking internships that would otherwise be unpaid. These positions enable Fletcher students to work in the climate field, in ways that connect the U.S. to Europe or China, and align with the value Fletcher places on intercultural connections.

Fletcher students are encouraged to do an internship during the summer after their first year of study at Fletcher. The CIERP program works continuously to develop internship relationships with public, private and non-profit environmental organizations and sponsors a small number of students each year to pursue an internship related to environment and/or resource issues. Additionally, the CIERP office works with students to match their interests with an appropriate research, policy, and/or field experience. Many students draw from their internship to formulate the subject and proposal development of their MALD thesis.
