Learning at CIERP takes place inside and outside of the classroom. Our scholars are often also practitioners and trainers who contribute to local, state, national, and international policy discussions and negotiations. We help students engage directly with governments, NGOs and corporations around the world by attending meetings and conferences, and by participating in applied policy work as well as academic research. These opportunities enable Fletcher students to apply their classroom studies to practical problems and gain real-world experience while they earn their degrees. Some CIERP graduates return to the Center to contribute to ongoing research and help train future practitioners.
