Michael Kunz

Michael Kunz is the Senior Governance Advisor for ICMA, where he is responsible for overseeing programs and strategy in the regions of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Caucuses. He has 25 years of experience designing and managing multi-faceted socio-economic development programs in the transitional economies of Central and Eastern Europe, Caucuses, and Asia. Mr. Kunz has successfully implemented programs funded by USAID, World Bank, UNHCR, the European Union, and the Mellon Foundation. He has extensive experience liaising with international development institutions, corporations, NGOs and governments to design strategies, programs, and policies promoting private sector led growth. Michael is a graduate of Tufts' Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (GMAP 10) and lives in the Washington DC area with his wife and two children.
