Applying to Live in Blakeley Hall, 2013-2014

Please note that priority for living in Blakeley Hall is given to those in our degree-seeking programs. We have a very small number of rooms allocated for exchange students. Others affiliated with The Fletcher School, including visiting fellows, cannot normally reside in the dorm unless space becomes available at the last minute.

To apply for a room at the Blakeley Hall, you must complete the below forms and send them to us by May 1, 2013. After receiving those forms, we will notify you by the end of May as to the status of your application to live at Blakeley.  Following this, you will have three weeks to reserve a spot by submitting a $400 room deposit. (Deposit checks should be drawn from U.S. banks and made out to: “Trustees of Tufts College.”  If you prefer to wire the $400, please follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.) You may email the forms to us as attachments. Otherwise, mail all three items to:

Blakeley RDs

The two required forms are below:

2013-2014 Blakeley Housing Contract and Questionnaire

When we receive the Contract plus the Questionnaire (by May 1) and the $400 deposit (three weeks following notification of your status at Blakeley), your application will be considered complete. Please be advised that the rooms in the dorm do fill up quickly. We are only able to assign rooms to individuals who have submitted a complete application.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate every individual who applies for a room in Blakeley.  Rooms are allocated based on the timely receipt of the application and deposit.  We do, however, recognize the wide geographic dispersion of potential Blakeley applicants and the related delays that can be caused by sending materials from abroad; we take this into account.  Nevertheless, we advise you to send in your materials as soon as possible before the deadline of May 1 to increase your chances of securing a room.
