Bequests
Many alumni and friends show their support of The Fletcher School by including the School in their estate plans. It is possible to leave a specific gift, a percentage of your estate, or even a percentage of the residuary of your estate to Fletcher. Including a bequest to The Fletcher School in your will may also result in beneficial tax consequences for your estate. You can designate your estate gift for the support of a particular program, scholarship, or other purpose of your choice.

Charitable Gift Annuities
With a minimum gift of $10,000, you may establish a charitable gift annuity that will benefit both you and The Fletcher School. Annuities may be funded with cash or securities. (Funding an annuity with appreciated securities may help you to minimize your capital gains tax liability.) The amount of income the annuity will provide you is based on the size of the donation and your age at the time the gift is made. Charitable Trusts
If you would like to support The Fletcher School by donating assets worth $100,000 or more, a charitable remainder trust or a charitable lead trust may be an appropriate vehicle with which to accomplish this goal. By placing particular assets in trust, you may minimize capital gains and/or certain estate taxes while supporting The Fletcher School. Either you or the School may benefit from income earned on trust assets. Please contact us for further information, including financial projections of a particular gift proposal.
Gifts of Real Estate
The Fletcher School appreciates gifts in many forms, including gifts of real estate. This option may be particularly attractive when the value of real estate has increased over time.
