David McKean, F86, appointed Director of Policy Planning by Secretary Kerry

Secretary John Kerry has appointed David McKean, F86, Director of the Policy Planning Office of the U.S. State Department. McKean has a long history of working for Secretary Kerry, including as his staff director on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Most recently, McKean worked as a senior advisor to Secretary Clinton on the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review (QDDR). As the Director of the Policy Planning Office, McKean will now focus on the implementation of the QDDR.
