Michael Dobbs', F72, F77, best-selling book becomes a U.S. television series

Best-selling author and former Chief-of-Staff to Margaret Thatcher, Michael Dobbs, F72, F77, has a new television series based on his book premiering in the United States. The book, “House of Cards,” fictionalizes Dobbs’ experience working for Thatcher and his ultimate decision to change career paths by becoming a writer. “House of Cards” was turned into a successful BBC show during the 1990s and is now coming to the United States in February. The new series takes place in the White House and stars Kevin Spacey. In the Mail Newspaper, Dobbs discussed the transformation of his acclaimed book into a US-based series.
