A personal evaluative interview is a valuable way for you to share information about yourself and to learn how The Fletcher School will meet your academic and professional goals. The interview is strongly recommended, but is not a required part of the admissions process. PhD applicants in particular are strongly encouraged to schedule an interview.
Interviews are generally conducted daily during the fall term, from September through December 7th, and on a limited basis until January 9th. To schedule an interview, please call the Office of Admissions at +1.617.627.3040. As availability is limited, we encourage you to schedule your interview well in advance of the desired date. Interviews should be completed at least one week before your application is submitted.
Interviews are generally conducted by carefully selected and trained Fletcher students, though admissions staff members also conduct some interviews, particularly when demand is at its peak. The format is relaxed and designed to provide insight into The Fletcher School, allowing you to share information that may not have a place on the application form. The interviewer will take notes about your goals and perceived ability to succeed at The Fletcher School. The notes will become part of your application file.
