Fletcher's interdisciplinary curriculum and vibrant student body is best appreciated through personal experience. For those who are able to travel to the Boston area, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-campus visit programming.
- Visit Days
The Fletcher School is pleased to offer Visit Days for prospective applicants. These visits feature expanded programming, including an information session and tour, student panel discussion, and the opportunity to speak informally with current students during a lunch.

To schedule an interview during your visit, please register separately.
An admissions interview is a valuable way for you to share information about yourself and to learn how The Fletcher School will meet your academic and professional goals. The evaluative interview is a recommended, but not a required, part of the admissions process. PhD applicants, in particular, are encouraged to schedule an on-campus interview.
We offer both On-Campus and Skype Interviews. Interviews are evaluative, not informational, and a report of the interview will become part of the interviewee’s application record.
See our interview calendar for more details and to schedule an interview.
On-campus interviews are available on a first-come, first served basis. To schedule an on-campus interview, you must upload a copy of your résumé (c.v.) during the registration process. On-Campus Interviews can be scheduled online up to 24 hours in advance. If you wish to schedule an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, please call the Admissions Office during business hours.
Optional evaluative interviews via Skype are available on a limited first-come first-served basis. Skype interviews are intended for applicants who plan to enroll in January or September of the coming year, who are outside the Boston area, and who are unable to travel to campus for an interview. Most interviews will be conducted by current Fletcher students. In order to schedule a Skype interview, you will need to upload a copy of your résumé (c.v.) and provide your Skype user name during the registration process.
- Information Sessions
Small group information sessions provide the opportunity to learn about Fletcher directly from students and admissions staff. Included topics range from the Fletcher curriculum to student life and the admissions process.
On-campus information sessions are offered throughout the year. From September through December, they are offered on most Mondays at 12:30 PM and some Fridays at 9:30 AM and occasional evenings. From January through August, sessions are offered less frequently, generally once each month, with additional virtual information session available as well. Please check the schedule and register to attend a session convenient for you.

- Class Visits
You are welcome to attend a class during your campus visit. The schedule for Fall 2016 will be available in mid-September. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please check in first at the Admissions Office. Plan to arrive at the class a few minutes before it begins and introduce yourself to the professor. As a courtesy to the professor and students, we ask you to remain in the class until its conclusion. Please note that the majority of classes are held Monday through Thursday.
- Coffee with a Current Student
We invite you to learn more about Fletcher in an informal and relaxed setting, over coffee with a current student during the academic year. This is a good opportunity to hear more about extracurriculars, classes, and the Fletcher student experience. Round out your visit with an information session and class visit for a full Fletcher experience. We offer coffee chats from September through April, and the schedule will be up in mid-September.
