On the Map Your Future Program: I applied to Fletcher through the Map Your Future program, which allowed me to submit my application as a college senior, two years in advance of my matriculation. This was the perfect program for me because I knew early on that I wanted to attend The Fletcher School, and it gave me the opportunity to be really strategic about the type of employment I wanted to pursue in between undergraduate and graduate school. The two years of work experience that I gained during this period really informed, but also transformed, my interests and therefore my fields of study at Fletcher.

On the Fletcher community: One thing that was immediately clear about life at Fletcher is that when you're here, and especially after you graduate, you are part of the "Fletcher Family." People here become very close, very quickly, and that shows in academics, extracurricular, and social life. Since collaborative work is so heavily required in our fields, the professors do an amazing job of incorporating team projects into the curriculum in an interesting and fair way. Almost all the clubs here are either co-run by multiple student leaders, or are collaborative, allowing students the opportunity to voice opinions and suggest activities. Moreover the alumni network is incredible, makes up the “Fletcher Family”.  Fletcher alumni make up a formidable and extensive network that is available to you from the moment you are accepted to Fletcher. I have personally made so many professional contacts by reaching out to Fletcher alumni who are always willing to meet for coffee, offer advice, or help you leverage that perfect job or internship. I can't speak highly enough of Fletcher’s alumni and their willingness to be available to current and graduated Fletcher students.
