Fletcher Conversations

Fletcher Conversations is a series of four dialogues each semester facilitated by trained students and staff. The goal of Fletcher Conversations is to give our community the opportunity to simply talk about challenging issues. There is no debating, persuading, or problem-solving. We share our experiences, listen to each other, and hopefully reach mutual understanding. You choose the topic. We get the conversation going. Topics will be selected and announced prior to each dialogue.  Past topics include Socializing at Fletcher; National Identity; Power and Privilege; and Race.   Join the conversation!

*All dialogues take place on Cabot 7th Floor. Participants are expected to be present for the entire 2 hours.

The Fletcher Working Group on Diversity and Inclusiveness

The Fletcher Working Group on Diversity and Inclusiveness was created to help develop Fletcher into a more inclusive environment where all community members feel they can be heard and represented.  After each Fletcher Conversation, the working group discusses issues that were raised and works together to create possible solutions to the most pressing concerns of the community.  Any member of the Fletcher community is welcome to join the working group.  Dates and times for the meetings can be found on the Fletcher Connect Calendar.

 

The Fletcher Committee for Diversity and Inclusiveness

The Fletcher Committee for Diversity and Inclusiveness is composed of appointed faculty and administrators and elected students.  The committee approaches issues of diversity and inclusiveness from an institutional point of view.  Concerns brought up in Fletcher Conversations and solutions developed by the working group are presented to the committee and the committee can propose and/or approve policy changes and school-wide programming.
