The Fletcher School

A Graduate School of International Affairs

2008-09 Student Profiles

Huibin Adeline Cheng, MALD 2010, Singapore

Why I chose Fletcher: I chose Fletcher because of its unique curriculum. I was looking for a school that would allow me to expand my foundation in business to include an understanding of business-government relations. The flexibility of the Fletcher curriculum is ideal, as it allows me to combine this focus on business with a new knowledge of government. I was also excited at the prospect of interacting with the international student body at Fletcher.

How I plan to use my experience at Fletcher to make a difference in the world: I’m passionate about the concept of how business can contribute to society’s welfare. In some of my prior research, I realized that a factor influencing the success of business’ efforts in corporate social responsibility is partnerships with governments. I hope to use my new understanding of government to facilitate these partnerships.
