The Fletcher School

A Graduate School of International Affairs

2008-09 Student Profiles

Carlos L. Muņoz Brenes, MALD 2010, Costa Rica

On Fletcher’s international community: One of the most attractive features of Fletcher is its international diversity. Here, student representation from a very long list of countries gives additional value to the School’s academic excellence. We learn from every experience shared among ourselves. It feels like the world shrinks and our souls expand when we understand common differences and similarities.

On Career Services: I was truly impressed, almost intimidated, by the importance Fletcher gives to student professional development. It took me by surprise; it is a gift. In my view, the program establishes an important connection between our academic work and the outside world; something we are all concerned about but it may not be obvious until we leave Fletcher after graduation.
