Evaluative Interviews
A personal evaluative interview is a valuable way for you to share
information about yourself and to learn how The Fletcher School will meet your
academic and professional goals. The interview is strongly recommended, but is
not a required part of the admissions process. PhD applicants in particular are
strongly encouraged to schedule an interview.
Interviews are generally conducted daily during the fall term, from September through December 10th, and on a limited basis until January 14th. To schedule an interview, please contact the
Office of Admissions. As availability is limited, we encourage you to contact us well in advance of the desired date, and we recommend that you have your interview before submitting your application.
Interviews are generally conducted by carefully selected and trained Fletcher students, though admissions staff members also conduct some interviews, particularly when demand is at its peak. The format is relaxed and designed to provide insight into The Fletcher School, allowing you to share information that may not have a place on the application form. The interviewer will take notes about your goals and perceived ability to succeed at The Fletcher School. The notes will become part of your application file.

Information Sessions
Small group Information Sessions and tours will be conducted throughout the fall by current students or Admissions staff.
Sessions will be held most weeks on Monday and Friday, from September 14 to December 11, at 12:30 p.m. Additional sessions will be offered on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. from October 1 to December 10.
Please contact the Office of Admissions in advance to register for one of these events and confirm the schedule.
Class Visits
We invite you to sit in on classes during your visit to Fletcher. You may
wish to review the current
course schedule in advance. Advance registration is not required—we simply
ask that you come to the class a few minutes before it begins to introduce
yourself to the professor. Please drop by the Admissions Office on the day of
your visit to confirm the schedule.
